24 OCT. 47 IMTFE WAR CRIMES TRIALS IN TOKYO: Naoichi Kawahara, former adjutant-general of the Japanese War Ministry from August, 1939 to Feb., 1942, appears as a witness during the War Crimes Trials of the 25 alleged Japanese war criminals at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East. Kawahara’s principal business was to take charge of official seals of the Ministry, to inspect, receive and send public correspondence and to inspect finished documents. He also received foreign officers and conducted general affairs. Kawahara is now testifying for the accused Heitaro Kimura.
