13 OCT. 47 IMTFE WAR CRIMES TRIALS: Terus Akashi, appears before the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, Tokyo, Japan, as a defense witness for Okinori Kaya, who is on trial during the War Crimes Trials of the 25 alleged Japanese war criminals. Akishi entered the Dai Ichi Bamk in 1911, was elected director in 1926 and president in 1935. He was connected with the Tokyo Bankers’ Association, the Tokyo Clearing House, the Clearing House Federation and the Matil Financial Association as president and director, and was a member of the House of Peers.
